Sgt. Thomas Owens   Started career in Law Enforcement in Oakdale Borough in May of 1970 and then moved to the North Fayette Twp Police Department and remained there until hired as a patrolman in Crafton Borough on October 1, 1973. Promoted to Sergeant on December 18, 1979 and did not choose to apply or test for any further promotions. Father of two sons and one daughter. Grandfather to three granddaughters. Has attended various police related schools and classes during 35 years of employment. Studied martial arts from 1976 until 1995 in various forms and obtained the rank of 1st degree black-belt in 1983 in Covington, KY. Off duty activities include hunting, golf, other outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
